Get Started Puppy Program:
This program is for people who don't have the time to introduce their puppy to retrieving or provide the socialization they need at this stage of development. This is includes introducing them to such things as water/swimming, decoys, gun fire/loud noises, puppy marks, other dogs, and traveling in a kennel. This program is typically for dogs 3 to 5 months of age. The cost of this program is $400 per month, with the first month being paid in advance.
Basic Obedience Training:
This training is for people who want a dog that knows just the basic obedience commands. This is a dog that will sit, stay, heel and come to you when called. He will know the basic commands sit, heel, and here. This is typically a 1 month program. This program has a standard price of $450, no matter if it takes 1 month or a couple of weeks longer.
Started Gun Dog:
This is a dog that will heel, sit on a whistle, be steady to shot, deliver birds to hand, and perform double marked (birds they sees fall) retrieves on land and water. Average training time required for most dogs is 4 to 6 months. The cost of this program is $400 per month, with the first month being paid in advance.
Advanced Gun Dog:
In addition to the Started Gun Dog characterists, this dog will also be able to perform blind retrieves, on land and water, with whistle commands and directional hand signals. Average training time required for most dogs is 4 months after completion of the Started Gun Dog Program. The cost of this program is $400 per month, with the first month being paid in advance.
We advise our clients to ease their dog into hunting. You want the first year of the dogs' hunting career to be simple and a good experience.
Tune Up
This program is for dogs that have previously been through gun dog training but need some work. Typically, these dogs are brought to us just before or after hunting season. Dogs can be rusty before hunting season and can develop bad habits(i.e. breaking, mouthing, obedience issues, etc.). The cost of this program is $400 per month, with the first month being paid in advance.
Please call for availability. All dogs brought to us for training need to be current on all vaccinations including Bordetella, Rabies, and yearly boosters. Also, please bring any medications you would like us to administer (i.e. heartworm and flea/tick meds.) in addition to vaccination records and pedigree when you bring you dog for training. Unless provided by the client, we feed all our dogs premium Dog Foods. Our dogs stay in Prefiert kennels on concrete runs. We take client dogs on a limited basis in order to insure that each dog is given ample time to develop the skills necessary to be a compliant hunting companion.
